Keep Smiling
Someone told me the other day that they thought I might be smiling too much on the campaign trail (as a woman in politics, you don’t hear that every day!).
That got me thinking: with our president starting wars around the world, right-wing Big Tech billionaires hijacking our democracy, and ordinary people having to choose between paying for their heating oil or their property tax bill, what do I have to smile about?
Launching my campaign in June… smiling.
I smile because amid the chaos, dysfunction, and very real suffering all around us, wonderful things are happening every day. People are coming together to fight for a better world. They are praying, singing, marching, and speaking out.
I see it every day on this campaign, traveling up and down NH, talking with voters, connecting with our 450+ volunteers and the over 100 state and local leaders who have endorsed our campaign. People are giving each other a reason to show up. They’re giving each other a reason to smile.
I’ve been on the campaign trail for ten months, and I’m still smiling, because I know that every day, I get to wake up and connect with voters across the district. Every conversation brings us closer together and helps build the foundation for the democracy we all deserve.
Marching with Ellin for Democracy on Saturday… smiling.
We just had our most successful quarter yet: 480 volunteers signed up, 100+ endorsements from elected leaders and community activists, and double our fundraising total from the last quarter of 2025. The endorsements, volunteers, and fundraising all point to one thing: our campaign has momentum, and it is grassroots support that will win this race.
Here’s to building a better world. Together.
