Portsmouth Pride — WOW!

Happy Pride Month!

This Saturday, I had the privilege of celebrating Pride in Portsmouth, NH. I walked alongside my family, friends, volunteers and my team — it was an extraordinary day!

The joy, energy and camaraderie stood out to me most. The outpouring of love and affirmation for the LGBTQ+ community was breathtaking. Watching people march, cheer, and fill the festival with such zest and hope for the future was such a powerful reminder of what and who we are fighting for.

This is community at its best! Volunteers, city officials, advocacy organizations, and local residents all coming together to create something special, that meant everything!

Events like this fuel our purpose. The joy, the voices, and the sheer number of people who showed up Saturday is a testament to how much this community loves and cares. That energy carries into our homes, our communities and into the work we do for a more inclusive New Hampshire every day.

I often say I work with the best people. Saturday was exactly what I mean. The love, the energy, the deep care for our neighbors, our community, and our transgender youth, it filled my heart.

When community comes together, wonderful things happen. I’m so grateful to stand along each and every one of you.
