There are heroes in this district!

This campaign is powered by educators, parents, and neighbors who believe that in this moment of national crisis, ordinary people need to step up and speak out to protect their neighbors and strengthen their communities against the neglect and abuse of the state and federal government.

People have gotten used to seeing me around the district. Not just in front of the room, but in the back rows and on the picnic benches- listening, learning, and connecting with the people that many politicians walk right past without even saying hello.

Many of these same people are now leading the charge--showing up for their neighbors in the street when Trump’s goon squads descend upon their city, testifying passionately at their county commissioners meeting to stop ICE from turning the county jail into a detention center, and lugging clothes by the bagful to keep foster kids warm through the winter.

I’m talking about Jo in Portsmouth, Brenda in Newmarket, Marci in Somersworth, and hundreds more like them. Neighbors who see people who are hurting and decide to do something to help.

I’ve been able to take the time to really get to know and help these incredible people across the district because of all the people who have gotten involved in this campaign as donors, volunteers, and teammates in the struggle to build a better world together. Thank you to all of you for being part of this work and for believing in what’s possible.

Jo Foster speaks out against a proposed contract to allow ICE to house detainees in the Rockingham County Jail.
