Guest Post: Ginger Hankins

Team Carleigh is filled with the most amazing people! Hear from Ginger below:

I'm Ginger Hankins, a proud member of Carleigh's "kitchen cabinet" of volunteers.

On a week when big-money PACs and campaigns are flooding mailboxes with slick mailers and hosting donor fundraisers, I spent the weekend on the road with Carleigh across New Hampshire.

My favorite thing about traveling with Carleigh? Watching her connect with people.

At a house party in Ossipee, Donuts and Democracy in Laconia, and the Pride celebration in North Conway, Carleigh listened to stories about healthcare, public schools, Medicare, Social Security, affordable housing and wages. Everywhere we went, Carleigh listened.

We recruited volunteers who are excited about this campaign and inspired by Carleigh’s leadership. Young healthcare workers trying to figure out how to afford living in New Hampshire. A member of the Conway Conservation Commission with great ideas. A trans engineer working full time and still putting in 25 hours a week at Starbucks for health insurance.

Seeing people with busy, demanding lives make time to volunteer because they believe in this campaign is exciting.

I also love how Carleigh recognizes and supports the brave people stepping up to run for local office. We met many folks fed-up and ready to run for State Representative. Support from Carleigh and this campaign, you can see it truly lifts them up!

This end of quarter week is a critical moment for our campaign. July is when the hard work really begins. Yard signs, phonebanking, door knocking, house parties, postcards. All of it takes resources.

Please help keep this people-powered campaign going. Click here to make an instant donation today!
