New Hampshire runs on working people and strong unions. That’s why I recently joined the picket line with members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1837 to support them in their fight for a fair contract.
This week, IBEW Local 1837 will be holding two additional actions this Wednesday and Thursday to continue the fight for a fair first contract. I hope to see you there:

My kids started school yesterday, and my husband starts next week. Every morning, I hug them knowing that what has happened to other families and happened in Minnesota today could happen to us too.
Accountability for Survivors of the Sununu Youth Development Center
For decades, the state has sent troubled youth to the state-run Youth Development Center (YDC), also known as the Sununu Youth Services Center. But in recent years, nearly 2,000 victims have come forward with allegations of abuse they faced at the YDC, spanning decades.
Accountability and restitution for the survivors is long overdue.

Carleigh joined members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1837 on the picket line on Wednesday morning. These operators, who manage the transmission and distribution electric grids across Eversource’s New Hampshire service territory, took to the picket line after months of stalled negotiations.

On the first Tuesday of every month, faith leaders and immigration justice activists walk seven times around the Norris Cotton Federal Building in Manchester where ICE has its NH office. Carleigh joined them in their vigil this past Tuesday.

Out of the many headline-grabbing policies in this Frankenstein’s monster of a bill, what’s gotten less attention is how the legislation nationalizes school vouchers as part of a larger agenda to defund and ultimately destroy public education across the country.
