A few months ago, I joined George and the ROMEOs for breakfast at the Country View Diner in Greenland. The ROMEOs are a group of retirees who meet up regularly for coffee, eggs, and lively conversation. They wanted to talk to me about a building many of us regularly drive by: what was once the Great Bay Community College campus on Route 33 in Stratham. Over coffee, they made the case that the building should be training young people for skilled work again. By the time the plates were cleared, they’d convinced me.

We discussed a lot of topics in this episode such as our rigged economy, foreign policy (Gaza, Iran, and the importance of diplomacy and “soft power”), healthcare, inflation, social media, and a lot more!

Democrats from around NH gathered at Dover High School today to officially kick off the 2026 midterm elections! It was a chance for people to come together, connect around a shared vision for the future, and prepare ourselves for the hard work ahead. It was a lso a chance for all the candidates running for Congress in NH-01 to make their case to the community organizers, Democratic activists, elected officials, and party leaders who spend their Saturday in a high school auditorium talking about democracy and the future of our state and country.

I traveled twice to Manchester today. The first to stand in solidarity with a person from South Sudan who ICE is trying to deport and the second time to attend a candidate forum at the Manchester City Library. You can see some of what I said here.

HATCh Literacy Event
On Saturday, the Hampton Area Alliance for Thriving Children (HATCh), which I help lead along with a group of incredible local advocates, educators, activists, and parents, held its second annual literacy fair at Winnacunnet High School. Over 100 families came to get free books, make buttons and art projects, sign a literacy pledge, and visit the Gather mobile grocery store bus where they could choose from a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, prepared meals, egg, milk, bread, and other staples—all for free!

Why I support a Data Center Moratorium
I am livid. Once again, Republicans in our state government are putting Big Tech ahead of the health and welfare of NH residents. On Tuesday, the Republican majority in the State House Committee on Municipal and County Government voted to recommend a bill infringing on the ability of local governments to regulate the construction of data centers in their towns and cities.

As we enter the final four months of this primary, and turn our eyes to November, I know how important it is to keep places like Hampton in mind. Our purple community is consistently the bellwether town in New Hampshire’s first district. Candidates who win in Hampton need to do more than just preach to the choir. They need to show up. They need to listen. They need to cut through the political noise and deliver results for the people who need it most.
One Person. One Vote.
Moments like this feel so desperate. They make me so angry. But I’m not giving up, and I’m not losing hope. We all want democracy. We all want our votes to count. We all deserve a voice in our future.
